Bedfordview is old-money German territory. The bulk of what leaves this suburb for our bays is Mercedes-AMG — C63, E63 S, GLE 63 S and the occasional SL — followed closely by BMW M3, M4 and X5 M, Audi RS4, RS5 and S8, and a steady flow of Range Rover Sport and Velar family cars from the Bedford Gardens side. Sitting behind those garage doors are the quieter ones: 964 and 993 Porsches, an occasional Jaguar E-Type, and restored classics that only come out for the Sunday runs to Kyalami or a Concours at Zwartkops.

That mix changes how we quote. A hard-used E63 daily gets a durability build — film first, then coating. A 993 that covers 800 km a year gets a gentler, wetter finish and a maintenance plan measured in years rather than washes, because its single-stage paint is thin and irreplaceable.

Almost every Bedfordview brief mentions the same road. The R24 corridor between Van Buuren and the airport is under near-constant maintenance, carries heavy freight to the OR Tambo cargo terminals, and throws loose aggregate at anything travelling above 80 km/h.
