Nanoshade ceramic window tint — done properly
Dyed film fades, bubbles and turns purple within a couple of years in Johannesburg's sun. We install Nanoshade nano-ceramic and multi-layer carbon window films instead — rejecting heat and UV without blocking radio, GPS or phone signal, and without the colour shift cheap tint is known for.
Every Nanoshade install is computer-cut to your exact vehicle's glass template, heat-shrunk to the curve of each window, and finished bubble-free. Pairs well with ceramic coating and paint protection film for a fully protected build.

- Is window tinting legal in South Africa?
- Yes, within SANS 1700 VLT limits — front windscreen and front side windows have minimum light transmission requirements. We advise on compliant VLT% before install so your tint is both effective and road-legal.
- Ceramic vs carbon vs dyed tint — what's the difference?
- Dyed film is the cheapest option but fades and bubbles over time and does little for heat rejection. Carbon film blocks more heat and won't fade. Ceramic film is the premium option — maximum UV and heat rejection with zero signal interference, which is what we install as standard.
- Will tinting interfere with my GPS, Bluetooth or phone signal?
- No. We use non-metallic ceramic and carbon films specifically to avoid the signal interference that metallic/dyed film can cause with GPS, toll tags and phone reception.
- How long does window tinting take?
- Most sedans and coupes take 45–90 minutes. SUVs and vehicles with complex rear glass can take longer — we'll confirm timing at booking.
- How long until I can wind down my windows?
- We recommend leaving windows up for 3–5 days to allow the adhesive to fully cure.
- Does window tinting protect my interior?
- Yes — blocking up to 99% of UV rays significantly slows dashboard cracking, leather fading and upholstery degradation from sun exposure.
