Interior Detailing Johannesburg.
A surface-by-surface cabin restoration — leather, Alcantara, carpets and headliner cleaned, deodorised and protected with the correct chemistry for the material, by hand at our Kempton Park studio.

What a proper interior detail actually involves
Interior detailing is not vacuuming and wiping down plastics. On a luxury cabin — Bentley Continental, Range Rover Autobiography, Cayenne Turbo GT, Ghost, DBX, S-Class — every surface is a different material with a different tolerance for water, heat, brushes and chemistry. Get any of them wrong and you either shrink the leather, matt the piano-black trim, or ruin the nap of the Alcantara steering wheel forever. Our process starts with a walk-through so we can identify every material in the cabin (Nappa, semi-aniline, Alcantara, wood veneer, brushed aluminium, piano black, suede headliner) and match the right cleaner and method to each.
In Johannesburg the two things that destroy interiors fastest are Highveld sun and Highveld dust. Sun bakes the top coat of the leather, especially on the driver's bolster and dashboard top, until it dries out and starts to crack. Dust settles into the carpet pile and the seat stitching and works its way into the door cards from the wind at highway speed. Both are solvable with the right process; both get much worse if the wrong process is used.
Where our interior work makes the biggest visible difference
The visible wins on most of the cars we see are: full steam extraction of the carpets and mats (usually two shades brighter after), a proper Alcantara reset on the roofliner and steering wheel, leather clean and condition on the driver's seat and bolster, and a full vent and trim detail so the airflow smells clean again. Where we spend the most time, though, is stitching, seat gaps and the underside of the steering column — the places dealer valet skips and the places that make an owner say the car feels new again. If the exterior is due, pair it with an exterior detail or a luxury detail as a single booking.

- How long does an interior detail take?
- A full interior on a luxury cabin runs 4–6 hours. Deep restorations — pet hair, coffee spills, ground-in dust from Highveld winter — sometimes need a second day to fully dry between steam extraction passes.
- Can you remove pet hair, coffee stains and smoke smell?
- Yes. We use hot-water steam extraction, enzyme-based cleaners for organic staining, and an ozone treatment for embedded smells (smoke, pet, food). Most cabins come back to a neutral smell in one visit.
- Do you clean leather and Alcantara differently?
- Yes — completely differently. Leather is cleaned with a pH-neutral cleaner and re-fed with a conditioner so the top coat stays supple. Alcantara is a synthetic microfibre and must never be soaked or aggressively brushed; we use a low-moisture, agitation-and-lift method that keeps the nap standing.
- Can you refresh a car before a resale or trade-in?
- That's one of the most common jobs we do. A full interior detail plus an [exterior detail](/services/exterior-detailing-johannesburg) genuinely moves the trade-in number on a luxury car — dealer showroom-prep is priced into the offer, so doing it first shifts the value back to the seller.
- How much does interior detailing cost in Johannesburg?
- Interior detailing is priced from R3,000 to R4,000 for most luxury cars. Additional treatments (leather sealant, ozone, fabric guard, headliner extraction) are quoted on inspection.
