Luxury Car Detailing · Rosebank

Luxury Car Detailing in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

Rosebank is covered by our mobile detailing service — we work in basement bays around Oxford Road, Keyes Art Mile and The Zone. Deeper protection work happens at the studio on Ossewa St in Terenure, Kempton Park.

Rosebank, Parktown North, Saxonwold and Killarney — a corridor of collector garages and daily-driven exotics. Paint-depth-first correction, ten-year ceramics, XPEL and STEK PPF.

Studio drive time from Rosebank: 30–36 minutes via Oxford Road and the M1 south.

Why Rosebank owners choose D2 Customs

The Rosebank book leans heavily on garage-kept collector cars: air-cooled 911s off Bolton Road, F355s and 550 Maranellos in Saxonwold, R107 SLs and W124 500Es in Killarney. These cars typically move a few thousand kilometres a year and have been touched by many hands over decades — most arrive with cumulative swirl damage, edge-thin clear coat from previous polishes, and finish work that needs unpicking before anything protective goes down. Every job is documented — paint readings per panel, photos under multiple light sources, product batch numbers on the ceramic coating certificate.

What Rosebank owners actually drive

Two distinct groups. The collectors — 964 Turbo, 993 Carrera RS, F355 Berlinetta, 550 Maranello, R107 500SL, W124 500E, E30 M3, early Countach and Testarossa — cars that need finish work more than protection, and treat the studio as a two-decade partnership rather than a one-off booking.

The daily-driven exotics — Roma, DB12, 992 Carrera GTS, Continental GT V8, Cullinan, DBX707, Purosangue — cars driven weekly along Oxford, Jan Smuts and the M1, that need the full protection stack (correction + PPF + ten-year ceramic) to survive Rosebank's mix of jacaranda drop, mall parking and highway grit.

Finish quality is a light-management problem

The reason a car can look flawless in the Rosebank garage and covered in swirl marks the moment you park it on The Zone rooftop is lighting. Fluorescent, LED and direct Highveld sun each reveal different defect classes — halos, pigtails, sanding marks, buffer trails. We correct under the same range of light sources so the finish holds up wherever the car is shown, not just where the previous detailer inspected it.

Recent Rosebank builds

Porsche 964 Turbo — Saxonwold garage

22-year single-owner car with cumulative wash marring and heavy holograms from a 1990s rotary buff. Paint-depth readings ranged 90–160 microns across the car (the previous polish had already taken 30µm off the horizontals). Careful two-stage correction with soft foam and a fine polish restored gloss without thinning further, then a ten-year Innova ceramic locks it in for the next decade.

Bentley Continental GT Speed — Parktown North

New car, delivered with dealer swirl marks and a jacaranda drop already etched into the boot lid within three weeks of collection. Single-stage correction, full-front XPEL Ultimate Plus PPF and a ten-year ceramic across the rest of the car. Booked on an annual inspection cycle.

Frequently asked

Rosebank owners ask

Can I drop off near The Zone or Rosebank Mall?
You can drive in yourself — the run down Oxford Road and onto the M1 puts you at the Terenure studio in about 32 minutes. For coated or filmed cars we prefer enclosed collection from your building's basement or the Bolton Road side of The Zone.
Do you work with air-cooled 911s and older collector cars kept in Parktown North garages?
Yes — that's a large part of the Rosebank/Parktown book. Older paint is thinner and softer than modern clear coat, so we take paint-depth readings on every panel before touching a 964, 993 or F355 and choose polish and pad combinations that lift defects without thinning the clear.
What's the safest way to move a low-slung exotic from Saxonwold?
Enclosed transporter with hydraulic tilt-bed — never an open trailer or a self-drive down the Jan Smuts speed humps. We use the same rig for every McLaren, Aventador, Countach and 812 we collect from Saxonwold, Killarney and Parkwood.
